which was screened at the
Kolkata International Film Festival
last year and garnered quite a lot of praise is finally set for a theatrical release.
‘Surjo Prithibir Charidike Ghore’ is based on the real-life story of KC Pal who is obsessed with the theory that sun revolves around the Earth. In the film, the fictionalised character TC Pal been portrayed by noted theatre actor
Meghnad Bhattacharya
. It also stars veteran actors
Chiranjeet Chakraborty,
Anjan Dutt,
Sreela Majumdar and Pallavi Chatterjee in crucial roles.
The trailer which was released recently focuses on two dominant themes – TC Pal's struggle to establish his theory and a political conflict with the Left's uprising. The trailer gives a glimpse of the bits and pieces of the relation between the protagonists. There are also two striking aspects. The background score sees only natural sound to inflict a realistic approach. The glimpses of some real dramatic performances by the actors hold the attention as well.
‘Surjo Prithibir Charidike Ghore’ is set to release on November 22.
