Swastika Mukherjee to star opposite Bangladeshi actor Sariful Razz in her next; ‘Altabanu Josna Dekheni’ to go on floors this year

Swastika Mukherjee is all set for her next film and the ace actress has a new hero for the same. Swastika is set to pair up with Bangladeshi actor Sariful Razz for her next, ‘Altabanu Josna Dekheni’. The actress is set to essay the female lead Altabanu in the film, whereas Sariful Razz will be seen portraying the character of the male protagonist Premchand. As per the report of Dhaka Tribune, the film is scheduled to go on floors later this year.
Earlier in September of last year, small screen producer Himu Akram announced Indian actress Swastika Mukherjee as the lead for his upcoming film ‘Altabanu Josna Dekheni’. However, the male lead of the film was not finalized back then. After almost eight months, Himu has announced that Sariful Razz has been cast opposite to Swastika.

Produced by Bengal Multimedia, ‘Altabanu Josna Dekheni’ is going to be a dark thriller. Apart from Swastika and Razz, Iresh Zaker, Mamunur Rashid, Sohail Mondal, and others are set to join the cast of the film. Directed by Himu Akram, the screenplay is a collaboration between Akram, Mohammad Nazim ud Daula, and Mohammad Nazim Uddin.
The film will be shot across various locations in Bangladesh, including Syedpur, Sundarban, and Shalban in Rajendrapur. Hence, the makers are keen on waiting out the monsoon before beginning the filming process. Swastika debuted in Bangladeshi film with ‘Shobar Upore Tumi’, directed by FI Manik. She was cast opposite to Shakib Khan in the film.

Not just Swastika, actress Mimi Chakraborty will also be seen in a Bangladeshi film for her next. The Tollywood actress has joined hands with Shakib Khan for their film ‘Toofan’. The poster and teaser of the film are out already. The film is slated to release in June this year.
