“This exhibition has been six years in the making. It traces my family history across 25 generations, blending archival records, personal narratives, and architectural fragments from old Kolkata buildings. The idea was to reflect on how the city is fading, yet from its remnants, something new emerges,” says Roy.

Among the highlights is a terrace space he calls Khwabgah, a Persian term for "the place of dreams," offering a contemplative view of the city skyline. Through layers of memory and material, Roy’s work explores themes of displacement, loss, and transformation, inviting visitors to engage with the ever-evolving story of migration.
