Trailer of Taarkata is out
The trailer of the upcoming web series Taarkata has been unveiled, offering audiences a glimpse into a gripping world of crime, revenge, dark humour and psychological intrigue.
Directed by Samik Roy Chowdhury, the series follows Agni, played by Vikram Chatterjee, a once-renowned police officer whose life takes an unexpected turn. The trailer hints at a suspense-filled narrative packed with hidden truths, unresolved conflicts and characters whose lives remain deeply connected to their pasts.
The series features Priyanka Sarkar as Chhanda, Meiyang Chang as Dodo, Joydip Mukherjee as Ashok Chowdhury, Satyam Bhattacharya as Bumba Bagchi and Ayush Das as Tintin, alongside a talented ensemble cast. The project further marks Meiyang Chang’s debut in Bengali entertainment.
Speaking about the series, the director said Taarkata offers a unique take on the thriller genre, exploring how memories and emotional scars can push individuals down a path of revenge. He added that every character in the story is hiding something, with each revelation altering the course of the narrative.
Sharing his experience as both actor and producer, Vikram described the project as an enriching and challenging journey. He noted that the team aimed to bring the story alive on a scale rarely seen before for Bengali OTT audiences and expressed hope that viewers connect with its emotion, intensity and suspense.
