Tuhina: The entertainment industry is going through a difficult phase

Tuhina Das who is currently busy with

OTT projects

will soon start shooting for Indranil Roychowdhury’s new film, Jatin Darogar Bedanto. “The shooting should have ended by now, had the situation been a little better. However, talks are on to start the shooting soon,” said the actress.
Talking about the character in the film, Tuhina said, “I play Mili and the film shows her struggle to survive. I could relate to the character well, as my struggle is no less. I come from a small town,

Kanthi

, and life is simple there. But here, each day is a struggle for me both professionally and personally. There is so much uncertainty all around. The entertainment industry is going through a difficult phase. So many films are ready yet the directors and the producers are not ready to release them. With 100% occupancy at theatres, the audience is still not coming in. People seem to be more comfortable with the OTT platform now. But watching a film on the big screen has its own charm.”
The film also stars Bratya Basu, Ritwick Chakraborty, among others.
The actress, who had a tough time during the lockdown, said, “During the lockdown, my parents were in Kanthi and I was here. So, I couldn’t even meet them. Ma was not keeping well then. Still, I couldn’t travel to be with her. So, this lockdown has taught me a lot.”
The actor’s

New Year

resolution was to learn French, so she will start her online classes in March. “I wanted to learn a new foreign language. So, I will start learning French in March, since it’s my birthday month,” said Tuhina.
