Sayantani Guhathakurta recently had a fan girl moment when she attended her close friend, actress Bhagyashree Mote’s engagement party in Mumbai. The actress couldn’t believe that she was actually taking selfie with none other than Hrithik Roshan who attended the party with girlfriend Saba Azad. “It was indeed a fan girl moment for me. After all it is the Hrithik Roshan. I have seen his debut film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ seven times. I was literally speechless when taking the pictures. It was total chaos as everyone wanted to take photos with him but I was a bit hesitant as I didn’t want to join the madness. Later Bhagyashree came to me asked if I have taken pictures with Hrithik. When she heard that I didn’t she rushed to Vijay and they introduced me to Hrithik. Vijay is in fact Hrithik’s personal makeup artist and they share a great bond,” shared an excited Sayantani adding that the ‘Vikram Vedha’ actor is one of the most humble persons she has come across so far.

Before becoming a proud dad Ranbir Kapoor wants to see a women-centric Bengali film. While attending a Navratri Puja recently the dashing actor met Ritabhari Chakraborty and when he heard about Ritabhari’s film ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’ and the unique subject of the film he was quite impressed. The film speaks of women empowerment and revolves around a young lady who wants to be a priest but has to face all the taboos and hardships we see in our society. Ritabhari explained to Ranbir how Bengal’s Durga Puja is similar yet different from the Navratri rituals. In response, the actor said that he respects every culture in India and then Ritabhari told Ranbir how her film ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’ helped her learn various rituals of the Pujas. Ranbir showed a great interest since the title sounded similar to his recent release ‘Brahmastra’. He also promised Ritabhari that he will definitely watch the film and would get back to her after watching it.

A major fire broke out at a godown of a production house in south Kolkata's Tollygunge area on Thursday morning, destroying almost everything that was stored in there, including film rolls. No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported at 6.41 am. The godown was stacked with inflammable materials which led to the quick spread of the fire. Later, the production house released a statement thanking all the well-wishers and friends who reached out them in this crisis. They also admitted that financial loss is huge but relieved that there hasn’t been any death.

Swastika Mukherjee has lashed out after she was criticised for sharing photos with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Along with other Tollywood celebrities, Swastika Mukherjee also attended the Durga Puja Carnival in Kolkata recently. And a controversy soon brewed after she posted pictures with Mamata Banerjee. The actress was criticised for praising the chief minister as Swastika is known for her upright and uncompromising attitude. However, after the attack on social media, Swastika took a dig at her trolls. “When I met the CM, wishing her ‘shubho Bijoya’ is part of our culture and civility. She offered me chocolate and I ate them. I took the chocolate and not an election ticket. I ate chocolate, not a bribe. If I meet the prime minister of the country, I will do the same,” she wrote in yet another social media post countering the criticism.

Actor Anirban Bhattacharya, who floored audience and critics alike with his first directorial, the web series ‘Mandaar’, is all geared up for his first feature film, ‘Ballabhpurer Rupkotha’, as a director. The horror-comedy is set to release in theatres on October 25 during Kali Puja. We have already seen his acting prowess over the years juggling between a wide range of onscreen characters one after another. Of late, ever since he made his directorial debut, life has changed for Anirban and he’s been extremely busy with film, OTT and theatre commitments. In fact, there’s almost no time for rest for the actor-director. Now, the versatile actor has decided that after ‘Ballabhpurer Rupkotha’ releases he will take a break from direction for at least next two years and will be concentrating more on acting.

Yash Daasguptaa’s Bollywood debut opposite Divya Khosla Kumar has made all his fans super excited. The dashing actor is set to play one of the leads alongside Jaaved Jafferi’s son Meezan Jafri, Pearl V Puri and Lilette Dubey. The upcoming Bollywood film, titled ‘Yaariyan 2’, is being directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao who earlier gave us films like ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ and ‘Lucky No Time For Love’. The motion poster of the film was released recently and Yash fans can’t keep calm. The romantic drama will be released in theatres on May 12 next year. Yash is likely to be seen in both romantic and rough looks in the film. The popular actor took to his social media handle to share the release announcement news and he is indeed excited for his grand Bollywood entry.
