Dev beyond his ‘superstar’ image. He plays Chandan, an average Bengali town boy, in the film.
Speaking about the shooting experiences, Dev revealed he had to do nothing to portray Chandan in this film. “I used to sleep until the call for my shot came. When I woke, I usually had a sad face and that helped me to portray the character well. As far as working with Paoli is concerned, I had been her silent admirer and I have really appreciated the way she has come a long way from our starting days in the industry” said the popular actor.
‘Sanjhbati’ has an ensemble cast including Lily Chakraborty (Sulekha), Dev (Chandan),
Paoli Dam (Fuli),
Soumitra Chatterjee (Chana Babu), Santu Mukherjee, Sohini Sengupta, Sudip Mukherjee, Sayani Ghosh, Saptarshi Moulik and others in pivotal roles.
