When fantasy meets reality in a fairy tale

Actor Tathagata Mukherjee is soon going to start directing Bhotbhoti. The film, a love story, will star Mamata Shankar, Rajatava Dutta, Debleena Dutt Mukherjee and Lama Halder, among others. Besides, two fresh faces will be launched too. While the story is penned by the director, the film’s music is composed by Mayookh Bhaumik. “It is like a fairy tale, with water and fire being its two important components. While water signifies life, fire represents knowledge, so both the elements have been interpreted in this film. How that happens I can’t reveal right now,” said Tathagata. The film is about what happens when Bhotbhoti, a young boy, comes across a mermaid in reality. There are two sides — one is fantasy and the other is reality. “How the two merge in the end is what the film is all about,” added Tathagata.
