Happy Teachers Day 2018: Bengali celebs pay tribute to their guiding force

It’s that special day of the year once again when we worship the persons who have actually made us what we are today. Raising a toast to those teachers who have always guided, supported and enlightened our path with all the practicalities of life, our very own Bengali celebs also took to their social media handles to wish a happy Teachers Day. Swastika Mukherjee, Jeet to Paoli Dam - the who’s who from the silver screen wrote some encouraging words about the people who have played a key part in shaping their life the way they wanted it.

Prosenjit Chatterjee

Prosenjit Chatterjee aka Bumba Da has been an institution. Even after three decades in the industry, he is still any director’s automatic choice. On Teachers Day, the Tollywood superstar shared an adorable message with his co-workers or junior artists who are just like students to him. He wrote on his Twitter handle: “God bless...and loads of love to all my notorious students.” Prosenjit is now on a mission to build a platform for the aspiring directors and actors. That platform is his home production Nideas Creations which is producing a number of Bengali films in recent times.

Swastika Mukherjee

Swastika Mukherjee took to her Twitter handle to share a throwback picture with his father Santu Mukherjee who is also a popular actor. She captioned it as: “Simple Living, High Thinking...that's what you have taught me Baba, to live life on my own terms, never to bow down to mediocrity, never to give in to cheap thrills, and most importantly to Be Myself. Happy Teachers's Day.” Swastika has always admitted how her father has stood beside her during a lot of ups and downs in her personal life. No doubt, it’s a perfect moment to express her gratitude to the ultimate teacher in her life.

Tota Roy Choudhury has been in this industry for quite a while. The versatile actor has seen a lot in his career- some are memories to cheer while few others are not so happy ones. His Teachers Day message says it all. The popular actor whose next is a Bollywood family drama ‘Eela’ wrote on his Twitter page: “To my greatest teacher: A.D.V.E.R.S.I.T.Y. Jeet has always been a role model to his countless fans. Be it delivering fitness goals, making people aware of their social responsibilities, the Tollywood superstar leads the way. So, it was no surprise when the ‘Sultan’ actor shared a highly inspirational message through his Twitter handle. He wrote: “We have and we will keep learning from People Situations and Time... This Mystic life will continue to teach us only if we stay open minded. Thank you Life for being the biggest Teacher. Learn today learn every day, happy Teachers day.”

While the entire nation is celebrating a happy Teachers Day, our very own Paoli dam too shared an inspiration message through her Twitter handle. She wrote: “Heart-felt gratitude to those pillars of education who pushed us to reach our potential and realize our dreams! #HappyTeachersDay.” The dusky beauty is now awaiting the release of her next ‘Halkaa’ directed by Nila Madhab Panda.

Rahul Banerjee

Rahul Banerjee’s Teachers Day tribute will surely melt your heart. On Wednesday, the popular actor uploaded a picture with his mother and grandmother from his family album. What’s more inspiring is that he called these two special ladies as his ultimate teachers. Rahul wrote: “amar 2 shikkhok.ma aar dida.” Isn’t it adorable?
