’s upcoming film from this month. The film, which is yet to be titled, also stars
Ranjit Mallick in the lead.
“It is a dark comedy, where I play a bartender. Ranjit da essays the role of a police officer. The film revolves around the two of us. The female lead is yet to be finalised. I will hear the script once again as Hara da narrated me the story during the first phase of lockdown and after that, the script has been changed. I am looking forward to work with a director like him who delivered hit films like
Sasurbari Zindabad
, Sathi, Sangee to name a few,” said the popular actor while speaking to ETimes during an exclusive chat.
Meanwhile, in Anshuman Pratyush’s ‘SOS Kolkata’, the story is about a suspected terrorist attack, where Yash and Nusrat Jahan play anti-terrorism officers while
Mimi Chakraborty will be seen as Yash’s wife.
“My character is written based on the life of a man who exists. There are a lot of traits in common. I didn’t know this earlier. But I was told this. It’s about a man in the forces so it’s a de-glam character. When we try to build a character around a real person the job becomes tougher for an actor. We have to let go of own mannerisms and follow character traits. This is a different experience,” said Yash while speaking about his character in the film.
