, Malini Awasthi said at the sideline: “The kind of songs I sing has actually become quite relevant these days. These songs can help people to connect to their roots.”
Malini Awasthi who has been visiting Kolkata quite often lately added: “I have a very close connection with Kolkata. I have learned so many things from Girija Devi here and my ancestors Bhattachariyas were also from Kolkata. I have already visited the city twice this year.” She also spoke high about the appreciation artists received in Bengal.
