A treat for the city's music lovers
It was a happening gig at a city club as upcoming bands along with a few known faces from the music fraternity came together for a musical show, organised by News at Bangla band. First up on stage was Funked, followed by The Groovers, who rendered many all-time hits from Bangla bands. Music composer Raja Narayan Deb, who was seen performing with band Prithibi, said, 'I'm performing with a band after 10 long years.

My last outing was with Paras Pathar.' Prithibi's performance was followed by Pata ar Moruddyan, that was welcomed with a loud cheer by the audience. The band mesmerised the crowd with songs like Mon, Ratri, Telephone and Shunlam tumi. Next up was folk band Fakira that performed De de pal tule de, Bhromor and Nizamuddin Auliya. The evening drew to an end with Satadal Chattopadhyay, Prashmita Paul, Gabu and Sayani Palit's melodious performance. They rendered Haye bhalobashi, Ghore ferar gaan, Dhadhar thekeo jotil, among others. Said Satadal, 'It gives me immense pride to be a part of this initiative. Shows like this boost the spirit of all Bangla bands.'
