Anupam Roy to tie the knot; Tollywood’s ace musician to get married to Bengali singer Prashmita Paul

Third time’s a charm? Anupam Roy is all set to tie the knot for the third time. One of Tollywood’s most popular singer-songwriters is getting married to Bengali singer Prashmita Paul in March.

Love is in the air. Spring has seeped in. March will see Bengali actor-politician Kanchan Mullick tie the knot for the third time with his girlfriend and Bengali television actress Sreemoyee Chattoraj. Another popular face of the Bengali industry is following suit. Anupam Roy, Tollywood’s ace singer-songwriter, is all set to tie the knot again. The bride, Prashmita Paul, comes from the same industry and is a musician. On March 2, Anupam and Prashmita are going to get married legally.

Anupam has been married twice before. After separating from his first wife, Anupam fell in love with Piya Chakraborty and subsequently got married to her in 2015. After six years of being married to each other, Anupam and Piya announced their separation in 2021. Speculations were rife that a third person’s presence was the reason behind their divorce. Since then, Anupam’s ex-wife Piya has been linked with actor Parambrata Chatterjee frequently. Although Piya and Parambrata insisted that they were just good friends and denied their romantic relationship for a long time, they tied the knot last November. After getting legally married in November 2023, Piya and Parambrata hosted a reception party for their friends, family, and well-wishers.

Anupam and Prashmita have long been associated due to their shared love for music. As professional musicians, they have worked with each other in the past. Prashmita was seen celebrating Anupam’s birthday last year with a few of his close friends. The speculation of romantic involvement between them began from there. Almost a year from then, the two have decided to embark on a new journey together. Anupam and Prashmita are not keen on opting for an extravagant wedding. According to the Baundule Ghuri singer-songwriter, he and Prashmita have decided to get legally married on March 2 in the presence of their family members and close friends.
