said the show is meant to raise funds for children suffering from cancer. “We have tied up with a cancer home and are hoping to raise money for them. A friend of ours is associated with the home and we’ll visit the children with the proceeds from the programme,” said Soumitra. Long back, Bhoomi had a live canvas for one of their shows and the band is back to doing the same with the show coming Saturday. “Earlier, Sekhar Roy did the live canvas for us and now, Charu will be doing the same. Many of our ex band members will be present on that day, apart from our friends from the music industry,” he said. The band members will rehearse for two days before the gig and are looking forward to singing those songs that aren’t part of their regular lineup like Lal Sera, Kopaler Dosh, Smriti and others. The popular songs from their repertoire to make it to the lineup will be Nazam Nazam, Mone Ar Nai Re, Padmapukur Blues and others. “We have a long tour of Europe coming up next and preparations are on for that. After the show, we plan to catch up for dinner,” said Soumitra.
