Cactus releases four singles

Albums may just be passe, but singles are very much in. In keeping with the times,

Cactus

released four singles last month. These include Tobuo Thik Achhe, Aajo Naroke,

Nagorik Botaam

and Jawler Dhaare. While

Aajo Naroke

were recorded and mixed by Abhibroto Mitra and mastered by Sara Carter, Nagorik Botaam and

Jawler Dhaare

were recorded by Rhitabrata Kar, Sayan Ghosh and Ritaprabha Ray, and mixed and mastered by Rhitabrata. Said the band’s drummer, Baji, “The creative work, which started more than two decades ago, is still continuing. We are still creating sounds and songs that are different in context of Bangla adhunik gaan, and the outcome is the combining effect of the six of us.” Baji also thanked the present and ex members of the band for continuous support. “I must thank all the members of Cactus for their Support, love and unshakable faith in us and our music. A special mention must be made of the ex-members of Cactus, whose presence and contribution towards the band has only helped us learn, grow and reach where we are today and will always motivate us to experiment and innovate with our music and keep growing forever,” he said.
