Iman Chatterjee
, who currently lives in Mumbai, is in the city with his film
Half Songs
, which was screened at
KIFF
. Directed by young filmmaker Sriram Raja, the DOP of the film is also a city girl, Deyali Mukherjee. “KIFF is the first festival where we submitted our entry and it got selected. I grew up watching movies here and now my work is being screened. I am so excited,” Iman said. The singer also confirmed he is not going to change his profession. “I will always be a musician. Some years ago, I met Deyali at Upalda’s (Sengupta, musician) terrace concert. She was filming the event. When I shifted to Mumbai, we remained friends. Then they asked me to work in this film and since it was a character of a musician, I agreed. It was fun,” Iman said.
