And now singer, composer, lyricist and producer Sarbajit Ghosh has come up with a Bengali version of the song to pay his homage to the iconic singer who passed away recently. He created this new version titled ‘Shei Shopno Desh’ taking a lot of encouragement from his mentor Ranjan Prasad. Interestingly, at the end of the new song Sarbajit also sang the original English version.

The song was recently released with a music video that features a sweet romantic story. The video features Sarbajit himself, along with actress Deepanjali Mukherjee. While the music has been composed by Randeep Mukherjee and sound recording and mixing by Gautam Debnath, the video has been directed by Prameeth Ganguly. The song has already received love from the Tolly fraternity with Maubani Sarkar, Firdausul Hasan, and Honey Bafna congratulating Sarbajit.
