Singer

Lagnajita Chakraborty

learned quite a few things last year. While there is no doubt that the year 2020 was tough in many ways, especially for

freelancers

like her, it was also a great learning experience.

“During the

lockdown

, I have realized that you don’t need too many people to survive. This simply means that to survive and even to live life happily, you don’t need to depend on many people. But at the same time, it is very important to help people around you,” Lagnajita shared with ETimes.

“Patience would be another thing that I have learned from this year. When it comes to freelancers like us, we are more or less used to the situation of not getting work. But it was never this long,” she added. It has also taught Lagnajita to be more sympathetic toward other people, especially for the members of her bands, who depend on her for their earnings.

The last two months of 2020 were particularly challenging for the singer, as her entire

family

, including her, tested positive for

COVID 19

and her father returned from the hospital after being affected for the second time. “These hard times taught me who my real friends are and for that, I would be always grateful to the year 2020,” Lagnajita added.
