“Since 2020, almost all our plans have gone up for a toss. The number of live shows went down to zero. Now things are getting back to their pace and I am very hopeful that things will be alright once again,” she told us.

Madhubanti

will be travelling to the US in September and will perform in seven to eight cities, including Washington DC, Dayton, Nashville, Philadelphia, Orlando and Somerset. She will be travelling with her musician friends, Shubhajit Mondal,

Rudraneel Chowdhury

, Sudipto Paul and Mohul Chakraborty. “This is my second US-tour. I went there in 2018. Durga Puja in the US is something one needs to experience. It is lovely to see how Bengali families gather and celebrate the festival,” she told us.

Talking about her recent playback, Madhubanti said, “It was a great experience to be able to sing in a Shyam Benegal’s film. My song takes place at the climax of the film. The song, Banga Mata, is composed by Shantanu Moitra and I had a great time recording the song,” the singer told us.
