The sudden demise of Snehasish Das — an integral member of the Fossils family — has shaken the band members deeply. Besides being one of the key members of the official fan club, Fossils Force, he also did sound engineering for the band on several occasions.

Frontman Rupam is still mourning his death. “Snehasish was part of the Fossils family. He was one of the first moderators of Fossils Force. Music was his passion. When we went for our US tour in 2015, he went with us as the band’s sound engineer. We have toured

, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other places for concerts with Snehasish looking after our sound. His dedication was indisputable. But it wasn’t his profession — he did it out of passion. We have many memories together. Right now, we are rehearsing and every song that we are choosing to play has some

connected with him. This came as a bigger shock as he has always been a very orderly person and not one to take a drastic step in life. He will be deeply missed,” the musician said.
Here is what other musicians have to sayGaurab Chatterjee (Gabu)
“We knew each other for a long time. Snehasish was like a brother. We met only a couple of weeks ago at a gig by Spectrum. Earlier, he managed sound for

Lakkhichhara

. He also worked with Kendraka. Though he was directly involved with Fossils Force, he was very popular in the city’s music scene. He was a balanced young man and liked by all. He will be missed.”

Though I did not work with him directly, I knew of him. It is really sad and shocking to know that a young and talented man is no more. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Mainak Nag Chowdhury (Bumpy)
I knew him for long. I remember he used to manage Hip Pocket when I was playing with them between 2010 and 2012. He was soft-spoken and sweet. Recently, I saw him doing sound for Spectrum. He was a dedicated music lover. He worked with me for one of Kendraka’s albums. We spent nights at

’s house. I am yet to come to terms with his death. He was a kid. It is so damn unfair.
