So, when Bonnie Chakraborty called up Rupam Islam to sing his composition for Dabaru by Pathikrit Basu, the rockstar was the happiest to oblige. “We go back a long way. It brought me immense happiness when Bonnie called me up to sing the title track of the film. It was a historic moment for me,” Rupam said at the grand musical concert of the film. Bonnie has composed four songs for the film, apart from the background score. These include the title track, Zoton koira rakhbi, Notun shokal and Grandmaster khoka. This apart, the album of the film has two compositions by Prasen, which include Khela choluk and Jhogra kori chol. Surangana Bandopadhyay, who has sung the love ballad, Jhogra kori chol, along with Mainak Mazoomdar, said she was too excited to sing for Prasen. “When he called me, I just said yes. I had no clue what I was singing and for what. It could be anything. I am a big fan of Prasen da and I am very happy that the song has been loved by the listeners,” she said with a smile.
