Violin Brothers to perform at IGNCA

The duo recently got back from Imphal, where they performed at a western classical concert. The concert – Radio Sangeet Sammelan – was organised by AIR for the first time and the Violin Brothers were the only musicians who were invited to perform there from Kolkata. There was a 30-minutes performance and the duo played various compositions by Mozart and The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi.
Besides being busy with different concerts, the Deb Sankar and Jyoti Sankar are also busy with a French project. The duo has recently joined hands with Olivia Villeroy, a French singer. “She will perform in a symphony very soon and we have designed the entire sound of the concert,” said Deb Sankar.
Meanwhile, Deb Sankar said that they are also getting very good response from the single they have recently released. The project is on Je Raate – a song by Tagore. The song has been sung by Brishtilekha and based on string instruments like violin, viola and cello. “It has been released in different online mediums and is doing very well,” he added.
