Theatre worker Saurav Palodhi is in trouble. While the actor-director is preparing to direct a new play, he is facing immense trouble in finding a good translation. “I am planning to work on texts by Harold Pinter and Samuel Beckett and am finding it impossible to find a good translation here in West Bengal,” said Saurav. “Your only option is to translate it all by yourself.
Obviously it will take forever. I am ordering Bengali translations online from Bangladesh. It is unfortunate that our Bengali practice is plummeting,” he added.
