Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey's autopsy reveals death by strangulation

According to police reports on Saturday, the post-mortem and FSL examinations of Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey, discovered hanging at her residence in Divya Dharma apartment in Bhagalpur, revealed her cause of death as strangulation.

The Bhojpuri actress was found dead in her apartment located in the Bhagalpur Jogsar police station area of Bihar on Saturday, April 27. The police promptly responded upon receiving the report and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Bhagalpur SSP Anand Kumar told IANS, “Post-mortem and FSL reports indicate that strangulation was the reason for her death. We are taking the opinions of experts and will accordingly, take action in this case.”

Amrita's body was found hanging on April 27, and authorities did not find a suicide note at the scene.

The police team discovered her mobile phone, on which she had uploaded a WhatsApp message in Hind, "Do Naav Me Sawar Thi Uski Zindagi, Hamne Apna Naav Duba Kar Uska Safar Aasan Kar Diya".

Amrita, who resided in Mumbai, had traveled to Bhagalpur to attend a family function.

Amrita's sister, Veena Pandey, was the first to discover her hanging. She promptly rushed her to the hospital, where doctors unfortunately declared her dead. The actress is survived by her husband, Chandamani Jhangad, who works as an animation engineer.

Apart from her roles in Bhojpuri films, Amrita Pandey was also active in various other entertainment platforms. She had appeared in Hindi films, web series, television shows, and had been featured in numerous advertisements.
