One of the most loved on-screen couples- Ravi Kishan and Nagma’s famous Bhojpuri movies

Bhojpuri cinema is mainly known for rural life-based stories and item numbers. In recent times, Bhojpuri movies have seen a growth and became popular mainly in the areas of Bihar and Patna. Bhojpuri stars are also known for their pairings and even producers cast such pairs to make the movie a hit. One of most loved on-screen Jodis of Bhojpuri cinema- Ravi Kishan and Nagma have both done movies in several languages and some of their famous Bhojpuri films are as listed below:

'Pandit Ji Batai Na Biyah Kab Hoi'

‘Pandit Ji Batai Na Biyah Kab Hoi’ is the first Bhojpuri film of Ravi Kishan and Nagma. The romantic movie was directed by Mohan Jee Prasad and multi-published by Kishan Kadriya, Kamal Maheshwari, and Mohanji Prasad. Nagma made her debut in Bhojpuri industry in 2005. She started her acting career in 1990 through the film ‘Baghi: A Rebel for Love’, opposite Salman Khan. It was recorded as the seventh highest grossing film of the year.

'Ganga'

Bhojpuri film ‘Ganga’ is also known for the comeback of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Bhojpuri industry. Apart from Amitabh, other popular stars such as Ravi Kishan, Nagma, Hema Malini, Manoj Tiwari and Ajal Sharma also played pivotal roles in the film. The story of the film revolved around Ganga and Shankar which was played by Nagma and Ravi Kishan. Ganga was directed by Abhishek Chhadha and produced by Deepak Sawant.

'Ab Ta Banja Sajanwa Hamaar'

In the film, Kishan played the role of a farmer who lives with his sister and brother Arjun. Their life becomes difficult when Arjun asks Kishan to sell his land. ‘Ab Banja Sajanwa Hamaar’ also shows a small love story between Ravi Kishan and Nagma. The story of the film has been penned by Naqi Ahmed and directed by Arshad Kumar and produced by Saira Banu.

'Tu Hamaar Hau'

‘Tu Hamaar Hau’ is one the romantic movies of superstar Ravi Kishan and Nagma. The film was produced by Kamal Rashid and directed by Jai Prakash. Ravi is the most successful star of Bhojpuri cinema and even received the most popular actor award by the Bhojpuri industry. In 2005, Nagma won the best actress award for the Bhojpuri film ‘Dulhin Milal Dildar’.
