While the movie was expected to calm down the 'Dhurandhar' fever in the country, it failed to do so. Though the weekend collections showcased that James Cameron's epic sci-fi saga has the potential to challenge the Bollywood espionage thriller, the weekday earnings didn't. James Cameron's ambitious project showcased a slight rise in the collections compared to its Monday earnings. According to the Sacnilk report, the movie has raked in Rs 9.25 crore at the box office on Tuesday—Day 5. With that, the total collection of the third installment of the 'Avatar' saga now stands at Rs 85.50 crore.

The 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' box office collections in India peaked on the first Sunday. The film has showcased almost similar earnings on Monday (Day 4) and Tuesday (Day 5). While the film is facing competition from the Hindi film 'Dhurandhar', Kartik Aaryan's 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' will be added to the list as it is releasing this weekend. According to the report, the James Cameron directorial had an overall 20.84% English occupancy on Tuesday (Day 5), December 23, 2025.

The previous two parts of the 'Avatar' franchise were released in December 2009 and December 2023. The latest release is the third installment of the film series. James Cameron had already announced the fourth and the fifth parts, and they are said to be in different phases of production as of now. The next two sequels are set to be out in 2029 and 2031.
