'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' continues its monstrous reign at the box office, with the Adam Wingard-directed epic surpassing the ₹55 crore mark in India and soaring past the $200 million milestone worldwide.

Since its global release last Friday, the film has emerged as the No. 1 movie globally, even surpassing new Bollywood releases like 'Crew', featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, 'Godzilla x Kong' is poised to conclude its first week on a triumphant note, raking in an impressive Rs 4.5 crore at the Indian box office on Wednesday alone. With projections hinting at a potential rise in the final figures, the film's six-day total collection is estimated to soar past the Rs 55 crore mark.


Not only has 'Godzilla x Kong' wreaked havoc on the Indian box office, but it has also stomped its way to the top on the global stage, reportedly crossing the monumental $200 million milestone. Collider reports that the film's worldwide earnings include a substantial $20 million from IMAX screens alone, contributing to an overall estimated gross of $202 million. With $87 million attributed to domestic sales, the film is poised to surpass the $100 million mark domestically by the end of the week.

The success of 'Godzilla x Kong' further solidifies the Monsterverse's place in cinematic history, with the franchise, which includes films like 'Godzilla' (2014), 'Kong: Skull Island' (2017), 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' (2019), and 'Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire', now crossing the $2 billion gross mark collectively.
