‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ box-office collection Day 1: The second instalment of Star Wars sequel trilogy opens at Rs 2 crore in India

According to a report in BoxofficeIndia.com, the epic space opera opened at Rs 2 crore nett at the box-office in India.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is the second in the Star Wars sequel trilogy following Star Wars: The Force Awakens that released in 2015. According to a report in BoxofficeIndia.com, the epic space opera opened at Rs 2 crore nett at the box-office in India.
The film released with nine other films including Dhanlaxmi, Ek Andekha Sach, Game Of Ayodhya, Hare Krishna, Haunted Villa Lonavala, Journey Of Bhangover, Monsoon Shootout, My Friends Dulhania and Office.

Despite opening at low numbers, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ had a larger opening than any of the other new Hindi releases.

The eighth chapter of the Star Wars saga continues as new heroes join galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force. Starring Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o and others, the film is directed by Rian Johnson. This is reportedly the last film that starred late actress Carrie Fisher playing her iconic role of Princess Leia before she left for heavenly abode last year in 2016.
The makers of the film have marked a tribute to the late actress in the credits of the film.
