Alyson Hannigan, known for her roles in popular movies and TV shows, recently shared her thoughts about introducing her children to her past work. In a new interview, the 50-year-old actress opened up about watching some of her old projects with her daughters, Satyana, 15, and Keeva, 12. Hannigan, who is married to fellow actor Alexis Denisof, explained that her children have been showing interest in seeing the shows and movies she’s been in, but not all of them are appropriate just yet.

Hannigan recalled that when her daughters were younger and in elementary school, they went through a phase where they wanted to watch some of her work, like 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' However, at that time, they were still too young to see many of her projects. Now that they’re older, Hannigan has slowly begun to introduce them to her past roles, but there’s one series she’s not ready for them to see: 'American Pie.'

Hannigan expressed her concerns about her daughters eventually wanting to watch the raunchy comedy series that made her famous. Although her children haven’t specifically asked to see 'American Pie' yet, Hannigan is aware that they know how significant the movies were in her career. She mentioned that Taylor Swift’s recent reference to American Pie in one of her songs might have sparked their curiosity. On her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, Swift sings about watching American Pie on a Saturday night, which some fans believe is about her relationship with boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Despite this potential interest, Hannigan admitted that she’s dreading the day her kids ask to watch the films. She joked that she hopes to delay that moment until they’re in college. Hannigan also lightheartedly mentioned that in her mind, she imagines herself joining Swift and Kelce on their dates, enjoying the movie together.

As Hannigan continues to navigate parenting while balancing her career, she’s cautious about when and how her children are introduced to her more adult-themed work, like 'American Pie.' For now, she’s focusing on sharing the parts of her career that are more suitable for their age, while holding off on the more mature content until they’re ready.
