'The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is right around the corner! With only a few more days until the much-awaited film’s release, the cast has been on a roll with promotional events and early premieres. The first world premiere was held in New York City, and all cast members made the red carpet their very own fashion show.
Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and more stun the crowd at ‘TDWP2’ premiere
Many celebrities, including the main cast, attended the world premiere of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2.’ In contrast to the film’s theme, all of them showed up in their best attire for the night.
The iconic veteran star Meryl Streep opted for something simple yet chic, attending the event in a beautiful ankle-length red cape dress. She added a pop of color with black faux leather gloves that extended to her elbows, along with a pair of black pumps to complete the look. She wore sunglasses and a stunning and studded earring with a sun shape to add a little dazzle for the night.
Next, Anne Hathaway, who reprises her role as Andy Sachs in the film, also opted for a dramatic red dress. The iconic actress wore a stunning, shoulderless, knee-length dress with a sweetheart neckline and a flared skirt falling to her knees. She wore red strappy heels to complete the outfit for the night, keeping her hair down and opting for minimal makeup.
Emily Blunt was a force to be reckoned with on the red carpet for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ premiere. She wore a stunning ballroom gown in off-white colour that cascaded around her in frills. She had a raffia bodice along with a layered skirt that reached the floor. As per Vogue, to accent her outfit for the night, she opted for a necklace that had “156 Akoya cultured pearls, and accented with 18-karat rose gold and 4.86-karat diamond petals throughout.” Other than that, she kept her hair up and wore matching pearl bracelets.
Lastly, Stanley Tucci also stunned the crowd at the film’s world premiere red carpet, wearing a stunning black and grey pantsuit. The entire look was specially tailored for him: a deep black blazer over a white button-up, a grey printed necktie and grey straight-fit pants. He kept his accessorizing to a minimum, opting for a pair of sunglasses and a singular beaded bracelet.
Other celebs who stunned at ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ premiere
Besides the original four cast members, many other celebrities were present at the film's world premiere.
Lady Gaga, a famed singer, was also in attendance and wore a beautiful floor-length bodycon, mermaid-style, black gown with no shoulders. Simone Ashley, one of the new cast members, wore a high-low green silk dress with a simple necklace and no shoulder accent to the red carpet event.
Lucy Liu, who was later revealed to be part of the upcoming film (though her role has not yet been revealed), was also in attendance. She wore a sheer black dress that accented her figure and featured intricate patchwork all over the bodice and skirt.
Streep’s daughter, Grace Gummer, also attended the event with her husband, Mark Ronson, to show her support. Ronson wore an all-black three-piece suit, while Gummer wore a contrasting all-white floor-length dress. All the stars for the night, especially the original trio reprising their roles, kept the film's theme of ‘high fashion’ in mind with their outfits.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
