'Avengers: Doomsday' teaser trailers LEAKED online: Chris Evans' Captain America, Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom introduced in 3 epic videos

Marvel Studios planned an epic 4-teaser trailer launch for their upcoming tentpole ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, however, sadly for the studio, 3 of the 4 clips have leaked online.

As per online buzz, three teaser trailers have been doing the rounds online, days ahead of their intended theatrical rollouts with James Cameron's 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'. The leaked footage sent Marvel fans into a frenzy across social media platforms, while the studio scrambled to take down the videos that reportedly came with an anti-piracy warning.

'Avengers: Doomsday' to have 4 trailers

Marvel had allegedly planned an elaborate marketing strategy for the film, with four different teaser trailers set to play exclusively in cinemas alongside ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’. According to reports, one trailer would feature each week, beginning from December 19. However, despite the studio’s efforts to keep the footage limited to theatres, three of the four, reportedly recorded by audience members, have turned up online and have been widely shared on social media.

'Avengers: Doomsday' Tease Trailer 1: Captain America

According to early viewer reports, the first leaked teaser reintroduces Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, indicating the return of Captain America. While Marvel has not confirmed Evans’ involvement, and the actor repeatedly denied being a part of the film, the clip sees the actor seemingly putting away his stealth suit to embrace a new role as a dad.

The clip sees Steve riding to his home and carrying his baby, believed to be James Rogers.

This clip aligns with viral fan-theories that Captain America going back to the past to live his entire life and start a family, post the events of 'Avengers: Endgame', disrupted the sacred timeline.

Tony Stark's dialogue to Steve in 'Endgame', explaining, "When you mess with time, it tends to mess back," will reportedly set the stage for the events of 'Avengers: Doomsday'.

'Avengers: Doomsday' Tease Trailer 2: Thor

The second teaser is said to spotlight Thor, with Chris Hemsworth returning as the God of Thunder. Details about the footage remain limited, but the buzz is that Thor may die at the hands of Doom, thus leading up to 'Thor 5', which is said to be set in Valhalla. The film may also see him reuniting with Tom Hiddleston's Loki, thus seeing the brothers finally reunite after 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

'Avengers: Doomsday' Tease Trailer 3: Victor Von Doom

The third leaked teaser reportedly introduces Victor von Doom, with Robert Downey Jr making a dramatic appearance as Doctor Doom. While specifics from the teaser are being closely guarded by fans, the reveal of Downey Jr’s Doom is already being described as one of Marvel’s most ambitious casting moves to date. Popular fan theory suggests that the film will introduce Tony in another timeline, where he becomes Doom and not Iron Man.

Meanwhile, the fourth trailer is rumoured to serve as a link, and reveal the plot for the upcoming film.

About 'Avengers: Doomsday'

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is positioned as a centrepiece of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6 and is expected to bring together characters from across the MCU, including the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men. Doctor Doom is set to emerge as the central antagonist who will return in 'Avengers: Secret Wars'.

Originally scheduled for a May 2026 release, the film has since been pushed back and is now slated to hit theatres on December 18, 2026, as part of Marvel’s holiday season release strategy.
