Brad Pitt extends olive branch to Angelina Jolie amidst their complex divorce

Brad Pitt is striving to stay involved in his son Pax’s life, especially after a recent motor accident involving the 21-year-old. While his divorce from Angelina Jolie was finalized in December after eight years, they are still in a legal battle over their former French winery, Chateau Miraval.

Amid their ongoing issues, Brad Pitt, who has been distant from most of his six children with Angelina Jolie, is said to have reached out to her to help provide support and stability, especially for his second-eldest son Pax.

A source told RadarOnline.com that after reaching a divorce settlement in December, ending eight years of bitter proceedings, Brad Pitt is now focused on re-establishing his connection with his children.

Pitt is reportedly "desperately worried" about his son, who has been involved in three car accidents this year, fearing he could seriously harm himself if his behavior continues. Another source shared that Brad believes things would be different if he had been given shared custody, as he felt disconnected from his son during his critical teenage years.

On January 24, Pax was involved in his third accident in eight months, this time while riding an e-bike in Los Angeles. He was reportedly riding without hands when he lost control, crashing into a car. This happened just six months after he had been hospitalized following a previous accident.

A source had earlier told Page Six that Pax’s friends were worried about his reckless behavior. They were especially concerned because he consistently refuses to wear a helmet, despite having been in multiple accidents.

A source from RadarOnline emphasized that during this critical time, it is important for Pax to have his father, Brad Pitt, involved in his life.

The insider explained that Pax needed a strong male figure in his life, but Brad Pitt was unable to fulfill that role due to the custody situation. Despite the regret of missing out on important moments in his children’s lives, Pitt is determined to make a positive change. However, he needs Angelina’s help to bridge the gap.

Several of Jolie and Pitt's children have made the decision to drop their father’s last name publicly, although it hasn’t been legally changed yet. A report from early January also mentioned that the children encouraged Angelina Jolie to stand up for herself, but she advised them to focus on changing laws rather than sharing personal stories publicly.

According to official documents from 2018, Jolie risked losing primary custody if she didn't actively work on improving her children's relationship with Brad Pitt. The custody trial later led to a 50-50 custody ruling in Pitt's favour. However, an appeals court disqualified the private judge, and the ruling never took effect.
