Hollywood star Chris Evans and his wife, Portuguese actor Alba Baptista, might just be gearing up to welcome the newest member of their family.

The actor, best known for his role as the Marvel hero 'Captain America', is reportedly expecting his first child with wife, Alba. The buzz about the actress' pregnancy spread like wildfire after a cryptic social media comment went viral.


The pregnancy rumours began circulating after a fan club posted a Father's Day tribute and tagged Baptista’s father, Luiz Baptista, and Evans' father, Bob Evans. It was on this post that Luiz commented a rather sweet message that caught fans’ attention. Replying to the post, Luiz seemingly made a casual remark, “Your turn is coming,” which many interpreted as a subtle hint that the couple may be just be gearing up to welcome their first child together.



A screenshot of the reply soon went viral on social media handles, with fans of the Marvel actor and the 'Warrior Nun' star sharing their excitement. Some even claimed that close family members had begun dropping clues online, though no such posts have been verified.

If the rumours are true, then it won't come as a surprise to Evans' fans. The hunk has made no secret about his desire to start a family. Calling fatherhood “something I absolutely look forward to,” the actor shared his desire to be a dad and give his kid the kind of upbringing he had.

Chris and Alba tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Portugal in 2023 and have kept much of their relationship out of the spotlight. Choosing to lead a relatively private life, they made their first red carpet appearance at an Oscar party in 2024.
