Hollywood biggies are fighting for the rights to adapt a book that hasn't been published yet. George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, along with their respective production companies are in the process of setting up bids in order to acquire the rights for the yet-to-be-published book.

Oscars 2016 - Best moments

It is a non-fiction book written by the staff writer of the New Yorker, David Grann and the work won't be published until June 2017.

The book chronicles the true story of the 1920s and the mystery surrounding the suspicious deaths of several Osage Indians, who were at the time among the richest people on the planet, reports TTB. The story revolves around the twist and turns of the probe that ultimately became the first significant case solved by J. Edgar Hoover's brand new Federal Bureau of Investigation, famously known as the FBI.

While several Hollywood biggies are already preparing bids for this project, it'll be interesting to see who's kitty the rights to this book lands up ultimately.
