Dakota Johnson, who will soon be seen in the upcoming superhero film 'Madame Web', has made her stance clear on the ongoing debate surrounding nepotism in the entertainment industry.

The actress, who is the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, expressed her frustration with the label 'nepo-baby' and said that she finds it "incredibly annoying and boring."

During an appearance on the Today show, Johnson candidly urged journalists to shift their focus to other topics, saying "Write about something else!" Johnson's remarks come in the wake of her participation in a sketch on Saturday Night Live, where she humorously addressed her own nepotistic background alongside comedians John Higgins and Martin Herlihy, both sons of prominent figures within SNL. The sketch humorously depicted a "nepo truce," where the trio exchanged matching rings amidst playful banter.

Explaining her motivation to participate in the skit, she said, "the opportunity to make fun of it, I jumped at."

While she may have been the daughter of famous parents, the actress revealed that her father Don Johnson 'cut her off' financially when she opted to pursue acting instead of pursuing a college degree.

Over the years, actresses like 'The Idol' star Lily Rose Depp, 'The Batman' actress Zoe Kravitz, 'Euphoria' star Maude Apatow, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner and many others have shared their thoughts on the nepotism debate in Hollywood.
