Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson is set to host the new episode of Saturday Night Live after a gap of 9 years. Following her role in 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' she first hosted the show in 2015. Interestingly, Dakota's introductory monologue was filled with sarcastic elements and references to past SNL episodes. Dakota credited pop music sensation Taylor Swift during her monologue.

Recalling moments from the SNL 40th edition, Dakota shared a picture where she was featured alongside Sarah Palin, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg. Upon spotting Donald Trump sitting behind her in the picture, she exclaimed, " It's just crazy to be standing so close to someone who would become the most powerful person in America." The camera swiftly panned to the front row, where music sensation Taylor Swift was sitting, and Dakota playfully stooped with a nod, leaving the audience in laughter.

Notably, Justin Timberlake also performed in this episode, joined by Jimmy Fallon. Dakota teased Justin's comeback during her monologue, as Justin entered the stage. She jokingly tried to prevent him from revealing the episode's highlights.

Dakota announced her new venture, 'Madame Web,' from Marvel Comics. She will share the screen with Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor, Isabela Merced, and Tahar Rahim. The actress expressed her excitement about this announcement on stage.
