Daniel Radcliffe has finally addressed rumours that he may just be the next actor to take on the role of The Wolverine.
Rumours have swirled about the 'Harry Potter' star being considered for the role of the Marvel mutant superhero. His new physical transformation and buff new physique, only fuelled speculations about his future in the the MCU amidst the chatter of the X-Men being incorporated into the Multiverse saga.
Although Hugh Jackman is set to return as the clawed hero in the upcoming 'Deadpool 3', rumours have been rife that Marvel bosses are looking to re-cast a much younger actor to take the role forward.
In a recent interview, with Vanity Fair, Radcliffe was asked if he was the one who initially started the rumours about possibly playing The Wolverine. The actor promptly denied any involvement in a lighthearted reply saying, "No. Yes!"
When further probed about getting buff for no reason, the actor explained, "I got buff because I am obsessive, and I want to... you've seen my parents, they're like insane fitness people. So that's just been passed on...but no, no Wolverine. Flattered, but no."
Daniel is currently a fan-favourite to take up the role of Wolverine. His shirtless photos showing off his physique only added to the social media chatter and led fans to suspect that Marvel might be considering him for the upcoming X-Men instalment.
