'Die Hard' star Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer shares heartbreaking detail about father's dementia, says 'he can feel the love that I'm giving'

Famous actor Bruce Willis’s dementia diagnosis and his journey through the disease have been an emotional rollercoaster for the star’s family as well as fans. His daughters, as well as other close friends and family members, have been keeping the public updated about his health. In a recent video, his daughter Rumer shared how everything has been in the ‘Die Hard’ actor’s life and how they have been dealing with everything.

Taking to her social media account on November 20, the 37-year-old actress shared a heartbreaking update about her father’s deteriorating health. She shared that there are times when her father no longer recognizes who she is; however, there is still the love in their bond that remains no matter what.

She further added how grateful she is for everyone around her as well. “I'm so grateful that when I go over there, and I give him a hug, whether he recognizes me or not, that he can feel the love I've given him, and I can feel it back from him. That I still see a spark of him, and he can feel the love that I'm giving,” the actress shared in the video.

The star also shared that she and her 2-year-old daughter both visit Willis as much as they can, and that she is extremely happy about the opportunity as well. “I get to feel the love that he has for me, and that I can love him and be with him,” she adds while getting emotional.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the actor had been moved out of his family home. He now lives in a one-storey complex where he has 24/7 care available around the clock care available to him, all while his family members visit him regularly.
