General Hospital star Steve Burton and ex-wife Sheree reach divorce settlement; both relinquish claims to spousal support

Steve Burton, the 53-year-old actor renowned for his role in 'Days of Our Lives,' has reached a divorce settlement with his ex-wife Sheree.
The couple, who initially met on the set of 'General Hospital' and married in 1999, officially filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court in July 2022. According to court records obtained by People, the divorce settlement outlines shared legal and physical custody of their minor children, Jack and Brooklyn.
As part of the agreement, Steve will pay $12,500 per month in child support until April 2024, followed by a reduced monthly amount of $10,000.

In his filing, Steve sought shared custody of their children and requested the court to eliminate the possibility of spousal support for either party post-divorce. Both parties voluntarily relinquished any claims to spousal support, both presently and in the future. Sheree will receive $50,000 in retroactive assistance as specified in the settlement.
The separation date, officially recorded as March 1, cited irreconcilable differences as the grounds for divorce.
The divorce filing came after Steve's May announcement on Instagram, clarifying the separation and addressing rumors of Sheree's pregnancy with her fourth child, which he confirmed was not his.
Sheree, a fitness professional, later confirmed her pregnancy in October on Instagram, revealing that she is expecting her fifth child.
