Ariana Grande is all about going back to her roots, quite literally! The actress and singer took the crowd at the Golden Globes red carpet by storm as she walked up the stairs in a stunning black gown. However, it was her hairstyle that caught everyone’s eye this time around.

Grande has always been known for her classic high ponytail, and the star did not stray away from what she does best. As she walked the red carpet, Grande swayed her straight hair, which was held up in a high ponytail with a slicked-back side part.

She wore a beautiful off-shoulder ball gown-style black dress with a bow on one of the arm sleeves. The dress featured a glimmery body as it puffed up from the waist below, while the bodice remained stylish and body-hugging. She ditched the pink that she has been donning for the past year or so, perfectly aligned with her character, Glinda from ‘Wicked’ and ‘Wicked: For Good.’




Ariana added a minimal yet sleek finish to the look with her makeup. She featured a glossy pink shade on her lips, along with some shimmer gracing her cheeks.

The singer scored her second Golden Globe nomination this year with her role as Glinda in the film ‘Wicked: For Good.’ She has been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award. Grande received the same prestigious award nomination last year for ‘Wicked’, though she lost out to Zoe Saldaña for her role in ‘Emilia Pérez’ as Rita Mora Castro.

Grande was competing against big names for the night. She was fighting for the title of Best Supporting Actress award against names like Emily Blunt, Elle Fanning, and more. Teyana Taylor took the lead with her film ‘One Battle After Another.’
