‘Gundam’is a popular anime that follows the themes of robotic creatures. The show has been on an iconic streak since its release, and is now officially in the talk of a live-action film. Sydney Sweeney, the star from ‘Anyone but You’, ‘Euphoria’, and ‘The Housemaid’, has already been confirmed as one of the leads of the sci-fi live-action film. Now, as per recent reports, a brand new face is already in the talks to join her for the project.
Noah Centino may be joining the new ‘Gundam’ film
As per reports shared by Nexus Point News, the ‘Black Adam’ star is officially in talks to be considered for the lead role of the film. It is also being directed and led by ‘Sweet Tooth’ director Jim Mickle as well, which raises the expectations for the upcoming project even further. Ot only that, but he has also been involved with writing the script for the famed project as well.
About ‘Gundam’
Originally airing locally in 1979, the anime is set in a Universal Century where humans have had to migrate all the way to technologically developed space colonies. Due to the growing population on planet Earth, people have had to resort to transporting to such colonies.
Seeking control and autonomy, the people living in said colonies wage a war on the people still living on Earth. Piloting robots known as mechas are used in this fight for independence, giving rise to a brand new world.
Sydney Sweeney, who is also involved in the casting process of the film, will be playing one of the leads of the project. She and her male lead will be from opposite sides of the war, where love will prevail all and blossom in the unlikeliest of situations.
On the work front
On the work front, Noah Centino is busy shooting for the famous ‘Rambo’ franchise. He has been cast as one of the lead roles in ‘Street Fighter’, a movie which will stand as a sequel to the original franchise. Meanwhile, Sweeney’s latest feature, titled ‘Christy’ was recently released in theatres, and is based on the life of the First Lady of Boxing, Christy Martin.
