'Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance' all set for an OTT premiere - WATCH new teaser

Bandai Namco Filmworks just dropped exciting news on Monday, unveiling a teaser for their upcoming animation project titled ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.’ This six-episode series is set to premiere globally on Netflix.

The storyline of ‘Requiem for Vengeance’ dives into the European Front during the renowned One Year War, famously featured in the original Gundam anime. The central character is Iria Sorari, and get ready to witness some epic mecha action with the iconic Zeon mobile suit Zaku II and the Federation mobile suit Gundam.


It is directed by Erasmus Brosdau. An Australian actress, Celia Massingham (known for DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Ladies in Black), has given her voice to the lead character, along with being a part of the motion picture.

What's even more mind-blowing is that the animation is being produced entirely with Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5, bringing top-notch visuals to your screens. The series is in good hands, with Gavin Hignight as the writer and Erasmus Brosdau directing the project. Executive producers Naohiro Ogata and Hignight are making sure this Gundam installment lives up to the legacy.

Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura is the main character designer, ensuring our heroes look top-notch, while Kimitoshi Yamane takes on the role of mechanical design supervisor, bringing those epic mecha battles to life. The talented Wilbert Roget II, known for his work on Mortal Kombat 11 and Call of Duty: WWII, will be composing the soundtrack.
