It was a night that brought out the spooks, scares and chills everywhere, in the most fun way possible! For Halloween, which was celebrated on October 31 across the world, saw people channel their dark side as they dressed up at witches, vampires, evil movie characters, wizards and more. This time the parties were on a big scale after two years of being low key due to the pandemic. In Hollywood, the stars stepped out in their zaniest costumes as they revved things up for the Halloween party. From superhero movie characters to cartoons and real people, their list sure was eclectic. Here’s a look at who dressed as whom and why…

It was hard to miss Kim Kardashian’s blue mutant look, as she dressed up as Mystique from the X-Men movie. a spandex suit and painting her face blue and hair red. The fashion entrepreneur left fans in awe as she literally got her look picture-perfect in her blue spandex catsuit, with blue make-up, those yellow contact lenses and red slick-back hair wig that Mystique has. She also shared videos of herself in the look on Instagram and Twitter as she gave Marvel a shoutout.

It was the first Halloween for celebrity couple Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. They got into Halloween mode as Chucky and the Bride of Chucky and it was a hit! You got your wish. You're mine now doll. And if you know what's good for you, you are going to love, honor, and obey!” posted Kourtney.

Here’s someone who fit right into the night. Remember ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’? Sarah Michelle Gellar who played the role got into movie mode and dressed as Buttercup from the Oscar-nominated 1987 film, ‘The Princess Bride’ with husband Freddie Prinze Jr. who went as Westley. While she looked pretty in her long red gown with a gold belt, he accessorised his look with a mask and sword.

Singer Cardi B was dressed as famous sitcom character Marge Simpson from ‘The Simpsons’. She totally owned the look with Marge’s signature bright blue dress, hairdo piled high, heels and accessorised her look with a red neckpiece. Of course, while the character is seen in flats, Cardi added her own take to it with really tall heels.
Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner got into Halloween party mode with as Jessie from the film ‘Toy Story’, deciding to wear the look her way in a pair of tiny denim shorts and cow print chaps along with hat. “Well aren’t you just the sweetest space toy,” she posted with her picture and it grabbed instant likes. “So good!” reacted Gigi Hadid, while model Lily Aldridge added: “Cutieeeee”. Her look, however got backlash as she was said to be criticised for sexualising the character meant for kids.

Who doesn't love Lionel Richie? ‘Scandal’ actress Kerry Washington seems to as well as her impersonation of the famous singer was on point. “Ready to embarrass my kids ��ALL NIGHT LONG �� #HappyHalloween,” she wrote. Kerry wore a green sweater and recreated his 1982 debut cover by his own name.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly

The hot couple transformed into Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee and their look was down to the T. Megan rocked maroon-pink PVC dress and blonde wig while MGK chose a white tank top with black leather pants that the Mötley Crüe drummer’s style. He also dyed his hair black to match.

P Diddy

Music mogul P Diddy (Sean Combs) stepped out as the iconic villain, the Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ as played by Heath Ledger. He wore the trademark green and purple suit, makeup on his face and he even carried a fake machine gun prop. "It's not about the money," Diddy wrote in the caption of photos of himself dressed as Batman's #ad It’s not about the money. It’s about sending the message!! EVERYTHING BURNS!!! ���������� He was so good that people asked him to play The Joker next.

‘Riverdale’ stars Madelaine Petsch, Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters from the 1993 fun film ‘Hocus Pocus’. They were spot-on with the costume, make-up and hairdos (Madelaine played Bette Middler, Lili was Sarah Jessica Parker and Camila was Kathy Najimy). Lili shared their group photo and captioned it: ‘It's just a little HOCUS POCUS." Can’t help loving these witches!
Hailey Bieber

The model showed off not one, but two diametrically opposite yet gorgeous looks. Her first was an ode to runway where she was covered in an outfit of roses (the look that model Laetitia Casta had worn in 1999), a tip, miniskirt and matching organza ruffled train and crown of flowers, that looked every bit dainty. She finished the look with pink-hued make-up and nails. Hailey’s next was a dark look with fangs and fake blood that captioned: “HAPPY HALLOWEEN. VERSACE VAMPIRE ��⚜️” Her black bustier top, matching black skirt, black wig, laced-up boots and chunky gold jewellery added to the edgy vibe.
