James Gunn had become the talk of the town when an image of his Instagram story page stating
Silver Surfer
and
Galactus
appearing in '
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
' went viral on the internet. Calling the post fake, Gunn shared a message for all his fans.
Taking to social media, Gunn wrote, "So this story is going around saying I answered this and deleted it on IG stories today. I did neither (nor did I ever have those conversations with
Marvel
). I don’t know who started it but it’s 100% a forgery. Sorry to disappoint." along with a screenshot of the fake news.
With Disney's purchasing 20th Century Fox, the Marvel Cinematic Universe now finally has access to
X-Men
and the
Fantastic Four
which also includes Galactus as well as the Silver Surfer. This is why the fake post had grabbed everyone's attention.
Meanwhile, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' which is written and directed by James Gunn is aimed to release in 2022. The film is reportedly scheduled to begin production in February 2021.
