The digital release of the 'Aquaman' sequel, marked a departure from the usual timeline observed by Warner Bros projects, which sees a window of 60 to 90 days between theatrical release and streaming availability. The transition to streaming for the Aquaman sequel provides fans ample opportunity to dissect the film's intricate Easter eggs and hidden references.

With a budget hovering around $215 million, 'Aquaman 2' required a significant box office return to cover production and marketing expenses. While the film managed to at least recoup its costs, its theatrical performance fell short of expectations.

Garnering $123 million domestically and $433 million globally, the sequel paled in comparison to its predecessor, 2018's 'Aquaman', which amassed $335 million in the U.S. and Canada alone, crossing the $1.1 billion mark worldwide.

The star-studded cast, includes Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Randall Park, Amber Heard and Dolph Lundgren. The film sees Aquaman teaming up with his half-brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, to safeguard their underwater realm from imminent destruction when threatened by the release of an ancient evil force facilitated by the Black Trident.
