Jay Shetty reflects on officiating Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's wedding: A surreal experience

Their connection deepened over time, leading Lopez to invite him to officiate weddings during the launch of her Marry Me musical performance.

Despite feeling nervous and anxious about the task, Shetty recounted a heart-to-heart conversation with Lopez, which helped him understand the type of ceremony the couple envisioned. He described the day of the wedding as one of the most surreal experiences of his life, emphasizing his love for romance and his struggle to contain his emotions during the ceremony.

Standing beside Affleck, who shed tears, and witnessing Lopez's walk down the aisle, Shetty found himself trying not to cry, a challenge he often faces at weddings due to his deep appreciation for love. Despite the emotional rollercoaster, Shetty managed to hold himself together throughout the ceremony, cherishing the opportunity and considering it one of the most special memories he will cherish for a long time.


Lopez and Affleck initially tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a ceremony in Georgia the next month, surrounded by their loved ones.
