J.K. Rowling compares Neil Gaiman to Harvey Weinstein amid the sexual assault allegations filed against him

‘Harry Porter’ fame J.K. Rowling never hesitates before expressing herself. It doesn’t matter how controversial the topic is or how strong her opinions are, she doesn’t hold back her thoughts. Recently, she has spoken against the ‘Sandman’ author Neil Gaiman, who is currently facing serious sexual assault allegations.

For the unversed, in 2024, the first case against Gaiman came out and the author denied the allegations. And now, according to a report by Vulture, eight different women have come out and accused Neil Gaiman of sexual assault and have shared shocking and disturbing details. Shortly after this, Rowling shared a tweet on X, comparing Harvey Weinstein and Gaiman.

She took to her social media handle to share, “The literary crowd that had a hell of a lot to say about Harvey Weinstein before he was convicted has been strangely muted in its response to multiple accusations against Neil Gaiman from young women who’d never met, yet—as with Weinstein—tell remarkably similar stories.”


According to an article from The Wrap, Neil Gaiman faced allegations from five women who appeared on the podcast Master: The Allegations Against Neil Gaiman. New York Magazine also reported on the alleged experiences of four women who accused the author of having boundary issues and exerting control over them for intimacy.

The report noted that two of the women had professional ties to Gaiman, while the other two were fans. These serious accusations appear to have impacted Gaiman's work significantly.

Meanwhile, Disney has suspended its adaptation of The Graveyard Book. On the other hand, 'Good Omens Season 3' has been scaled down to a finale episode.
