Kelly Clarkson announces FINAL season of The Kelly Clarkson Show: 'I need to prioritise my kids'

Kelly Clarkson has announced that her run with The Kelly Clarkson Show has come to an end. The singer and mom of two, took to her handle on Tuesday morning to announce her decision to pull the plug on her reality show, bringing it to an end after a seven-season run on NBC.

In an emotional statement posted on her social media andles, Kelly extended a heartfelt note to her crew, colleagues, collaborators and viewers for their support over the years, before going on to announce her decision to quit. She began her statement saying, "She said she has been “extremely fortunate” to work with an “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honoured to have worled alongsife the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner."

Clarkson went on to acknowledge that her decision to step away from the show, was not an easy one, and explained that the reason behind making the tough call was her kids. She wrote, "Because of all that, this was not an easy desicion - But this season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the saily schedule will allow me to prioritise my kids, which feels necessary and right for the next chapter of our lives."




This update comes months after the untimely demise of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, a talent manager. The couple married in 2013 and had a bitter divorce in 2022. They shared two children, daughter River Rose, and son Remington.

She noted that moving away from the show’s demanding daily schedule feels “necessary and right” adding, "This isn't goodbye. I'll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time... you never know where I might show up next."
