Khloe Kardashian reveals why daughter True believes she’s married to Tristan Thompson

Khloe Kardashian recently shared that her six-year-old daughter, True, mistakenly believes her parents are married. In the latest episode of 'The Kardashians' the 40-year-old reality star explained why she has chosen not to correct her daughter’s assumption just yet.

Khloe, who shares True and two-year-old Tatum with NBA player Tristan Thompson, believes that children should not be burdened with adult relationship struggles. Speaking with her best friend Malika Haqq, she explained her decision to let True hold onto this belief for now.This was reported by Page Six.

“I want to teach her the right values,” Khloe said. “Marriage should come before having kids—that’s what I want her to understand. But at her age, I don’t think it’s necessary to complicate things.”

Khloe and Tristan’s relationship has been tumultuous and is marked by several public cheating scandals. In 2018 while Khloe was pregnant with True, Tristan was caught being unfaithful. The following year, he was involved in another controversy after sharing a kiss with Jordyn Woods. Despite their past, Khloe remains committed to co-parenting their children in a peaceful environment.

She acknowledged that while she wants to preserve True’s innocence, it does trouble her that her daughter may develop a distorted view of marriage.

“It bothers me that she might think this is what a marriage looks like,” Khloe admitted. “That you can be married but not live together, not share affection, not sleep in the same bed—that’s not what I want her to believe love is.”

Khloe also opened up about her hopes for the future, expressing her desire for her children to witness a healthy, loving relationship.

“I would love for my kids to grow up seeing real love, real affection, and a true partnership,” she said. “That’s something I want for myself, and I hope they see that one day.”

For now, Khloe remains focused on raising her children with strong values, choosing to address the truth when she feels the time is right.
