As they say, time flies, it has already been three weeks since the passing of
Elvis Presley and
Priscilla Presley’s only daughter,
Lisa Marie Presley. Yesterday, February 1, marked the late musician’s birthday.
Lisa Marie would have turned 55 yesterday.
Priscilla Presley is now trying to be the anchor who will keep all her grandchildren together. There is granddaughter
Riley Keough,
Lisa Marie’s daughter with her first husband, Danny Keough, besides 14-year-old twins that she had with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood.
Lisa Marie’s trust had been left to her three daughters in her will. It includes Elvis Presley’s Graceland property and 15 per cent ownership of his estate. Her mother Priscilla, had contested the will after Lisa Marie’s death.
However, the controversy of the will apart, Priscilla had read out a beautiful tribute at Graceland only yesterday in a ceremony to mark the late musician’s birthday. Priscilla said, "From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I've protected, loved and guided her, as I have my son," she continued. "Our hearts are broken, and I am having to learn to live without my only daughter."
Priscilla Presley also posted a photograph of herself showing her cradling Lisa Marie in her arms on her Instagram page. The photo had over 1,65,000 likes and thousands of comments.
